Shelter is man’s one of the basic needs and technology has made it more comfortable. Home automation is a concept where all the manual tasks at home are done by gadgets automatically. The gadgets are programmed to do tasks perfectly as and when needed.

Few affordable home automation ideas which I would like to discuss here are automatic temperature sensor (to switch on air conditioners or warmers), automatic water level sensor, automatic garage shutters automatic retractable ceiling,

Automatic temperature sensor:

This sensor could be used to sense the temperature of the particular room or an area. This gadget would be of good use in areas of extreme climatic conditions. When the temperature of the house increases the sensor will detect in and will turn on the air conditioner or it would increase the cooling capacity of the air conditioner. When the temperature decreases beyond a certain level then the gadget turns on the warmer. Thus ideal temperature could be maintained with this gadget.

Automatic Water Level Sensor:

Wasting water is a big offence in today’s world. When the level of water in the water storage tank goes below certain limit, the sensor turns on the pump and when the water in the tank is full to the brim, the sensor shuts off the water pump. Thus there is no need to keep an eye on the water level in the tank.

Automatic Garage Shutter:

Pulling over our car to open the garage can be quite irritating. An automatic light sensor can be set to sense our car at a close range and open the garage door. This can make our car parking a lot more easier.

Automatic retractable ceiling:

As the day comes to an end, we often come back home only to see our clothes which were hung to dry, now dripping wet. Weather sensors can be used to detect the rain and automatically pull over the retractable ceiling.

We could use these few affordable gadgets to make our life more comfortable and luxurious. Huge laborious chores can now be done with the snap of our finger and with technology growing everyday we can always dream to live in a world which is more magical than fairytale world.
